Sixth Form Shopping On A Budget

One thing that every UK student looks forward to in sixth form is being able to wear their own clothes instead of a uniform. In reality though, it can be quite a pain, especially when you still have school uniform rules to stick to and (apparently) not enough clothes to wear.

I thought I'd put together a guide to help all you sixth formers out there when you need to buy outfits on a budget. Because we all know you never have enough money to buy all the clothes you want. So here we are:

Tips For Sixth Form Outfit Shopping On A Budget

1. Stick To Uniform Rules

They say you're allowed to wear whatever you want but chances are there are still rules to follow so make sure you stick to them.

2. 5 Outfits is a Good Starting Point

When shopping, aim for 5 outfits that you love. This way, you've got one for everyday of the week and won't have to repeat outfits.

3. Incorporate Items You Already Own

You don't need to buy a whole new wardrobe for sixth form, try and work with what you already have.

4. Sales Are Your Best Friend

Sales are the best things for finding bargains and cute yet cheap outfits. A little rummage will definitely be worth it.

5. Shop Around

Don't just buy something as soon as you see it, especially the basics like plain tees or leggings. You can buy these anywhere so look around and find the cheapest place.

6. Buy Clothes You Can Mix and Match

This way, you can create a number of outfits from just a few items.

7. Mix Up Outfits By Changing Hairstyle or Accessories

You don't always need to change the clothes to change the outfit. Adding a different necklace or hairstyle can completely change a look.

8. Buy One Pair Of Shoes, One Coat and One Bag

Items like shoes, coats and bags are expensive so only buy one of each that will go with every outfit you own. Black or brown are great colour ideas as they go with everything!

I really hope you found these tips helpful. I know how hard I found buying outfits when I first started year 12 so I wanted to help you out too! What tips do you have for shopping on a budget? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have a great day and if it's your birthday, happy birthday!
